The client’s brief for Thirteenth Avenue, Kedron, included large living, dining, and outdoors, four bedrooms, a separate master suite, and an upstairs rumpus. They desired modern Hamptons and a high-end flair.

What Resi Homes delivered is a custom-designed masterpiece.

Located in the leafy Brisbane suburb of Kedron, this house epitomises the modern Hamptons façade and oozes prestige inside and out.

The lower level of the house is graced with 3-metre ceilings, allowing for vast glass panels and maximum natural light. Custom cabinetry throughout the house is a visual highlight. The kitchen and butler’s pantry are equipped with the latest fully integrated top-of-the-line appliances, sparking inspiration for the inner chef in all of us.

The kitchen flows to the internal and external dining. The exterior dining room has a built-in full barbeque kitchen with a gorgeous 3D tile splashback.

Internally, the floors are lined with a timber-look aluminium-backed clip-lock waterproof flooring that can be used in wet areas.

The mono-stringer custom-built stairs complement the entry area. The void in front of the walkway succeeds in separating the master suite into an oasis.

The ensuite has a square-set opening over the bath, with frameless glass shower screens and floor-to-ceiling tiles. The master walk-in wardrobe has a fully custom-built cupboard and jewellery tower bench in the middle.

This house style is trendy in the area, and Resi Homes has mastered the design to create a spectacular house inside and out.

"The relationship started about 20 years ago, first with Dayne's father. I remember back on the first build site, Dayne was actually an apprentice. And here we are approximately 20 years later and seven homes later.

For me, it's about reliability in relationships. There have been many instances where we'll see home builders take on too many projects, spread themselves thin, and take forever to deliver. So, for me, it's speed and relationship and concise communication.

This home we started in September, and we're in January, so, what's that, four or five months? In the last 12 months, where trades have been in short supply and high demand, I think it's a great result. There's been many homes sitting vacant for a lot longer than that. In this street alone, there are probably three homes underway. In fact, they were perhaps at the lockup stage when we started this home, and they're still being finished today. And here we are, completed in January.

You have to have that practical experience and attention to detail. There's been things where we've changed on the fly and had that flexibility to do that. The detail in one example that comes to mind was about a niche in a shower, making sure that it was the appropriate height for bottles, which we did on the fly—and having that flexibility certainly made for a better result.

For us, having built a number of homes, we know the process and the routine, but, equally, for people who haven't gone down that path, there is a degree of handholding needed. Resi can certainly offer that process. Dayne's always available on the other end of the phone. I don't even go and speak with another builder, to be frank. One, I know I get what we pay for. I get it in a timely manner, and I get that relationship 15 or 20 years prior. So, for me, it's about delivery and speed."
